Vampilla Ice!

So my friends and fellow Twilight sisters, Dana and Jazz (who actually are sisters), performed this paraody of Vanilla Ice, so appropriately called "Vampilla Ice", at Forks for us. The lyrics are so clever. We laughed our rumps off! This was definitely one of the many Forks highlights.

Jazz and Dana rule!

*Warning: If you haven't finished Breaking Dawn this contains spoilers. If you haven't read the Twilight series you will have no idea what they are siging about and will probably dub the TMs even more crazy than we already are. That's okay. Crazy is good.

Personality Landscape

Youniverse Personality TestYouniverse Personality Test

For all you Labyrinth lovers out there

I just had myself a really good laugh this morning because of this video. It's of a guy reenacting a scene from the fantastically fabulous, muppety movie Labyrinth. I absolutely adore this movie and David Bowie makes one hot goblin king. That, and muppet humor is my kind of humor - dry and wacky. This little blurb made me love it even more.

His David Bowie voice is so SPOT ON it's scary.

Thanks Kirsten for sending this my way.

Anakin, you little devil

Just saw the youtube clips of the Clone Wars special on Cartoon Network. In the words of one of our favorite space scoundrels, Lando, "Yee-haw!". Great footage. This is going to be an excellent series!

There's a little clip with R2 and 3PO. They are in a dangerous area and waiting for Anakin to come find them. At the end of the clip, out pops Anakin and Padme from an elevator. Mr. and Mrs. Skywalker....just what were you two lovebirds doing in there?

Implied Jedi nookie is one of life's simple joys.

I love me some video montages

Another thing I've been meaning to post are some really cool video montages I found on youtube. I am a total sucker for them. Particularily ones with scenes from my favorite movies. When I listen to music, I don't just listen and enjoy the lyrics and beautiful sounds - I see stories in my head, either about characters I love or stories I make up myself. I could search for and watch these all day long if I could. I would even make some myself if I had the knowledge and software to do it. There are some youtubers who tons of talent putting these together.

When you've got your favorite music coupled with great visuals that represent the lyrics - its's just glorious magic.

Here is one of my favorites. The song is "Memories" by Within Temptation and the video is some of their original music video for the song mixed with scenes from Tuck Everlasting. LOVE this movie! It was one of the first novels I ever read as a kid and the movie was a beautiful rendition of the novel.

Sorry - you'll have to shut off my music player on the right before you hit "play".

I have tons more I want to post, but I'll save them for another day. =)

11 years...um....last June.

Yep, 11 wild years. LOL! I think we might be able to make it 3 years in a row without a surgery, but we'll have to wait and see. I'm not holding my breath...hahah.

All in all, we still love each other, poke fun at each other, joke about the hard times and enjoy a simple movie together, which is good because I don't see Andy rock climbing any time soon. Ha ha! One of the things I love the most about Andy is that he makes me laugh and I'm sure he would say the same about me. I think I've developed a good amount of spunk and snark over the years of trials. Is that my consolation prize?

I still have enough patience for both of us so that's good. He's the disciplinarian with the kids, but he still has the girls, Kaiya especially, wrapped around his fingers. Trooper, well, he's my bud. We *get* each other. And Ari - well, she's a 32-year-old stuck in a toddler's body, we've decided. She's basically my mini-me.

To celebrate 11 years of madness, I'm reminiscing with photos:

Just check out this wedding shot of me my dad photo-shopped. He enhanced my eyes. Cool, huh? I want to bedazzle things in photoshop! Another thing to put on the list. The pics aren't very big so just click on them to enlarge.

This was just a random picture of Andy and I in the reception line but I think he looks so hot right here so I just had to share. =)

One of us dancing and my crown of ivy, grapes and charms.

I was so there!

So I just have to map out for everyone how cool it is that I was there at the places they filmed some of the scenes from Twilight. This is from my trip waaaay back in April. I'm playing catch-up...

Kirsten and I at the greenhouse in Oregon

Rob and Kristen in the same greenhouse

Twilight Prom Set

The night we stayed at the VPI, I walked downstairs at about 4am to a very quiet and empty dinning room. I got comfy on the couch and read the prom scene from Twilight in the very spot it was to be filmed only a week later. That was surreal!

My view of the dining room from the couch

The Prom - last page of Twilight

One of my pictures of the baseball field

The bad vamps on the field

Me at the railing at the edge of the VPI lawn overlooking the Columbia River

Catherine at the same railing

I have so many more pictures I want to post from that trip but some of them won't have any meaning until the movie comes out - so I will wait...

I know what y'all are thinking...

Obsess much, Britten?

Uh...YES! Don't you guys know me by now? Sheesh!

This blog is in desperate need of some major TLC. There are posts I've been meaning to make for about a year now - and thus, we have The Year Of Twilight, folks. The culmination of which is my trip to Forks in a couple of days, (FANGIRL SQUEEL!) and the movie coming out in November. I'm sure the fun won't stop there, but it should slow down a bit.

So for now I will post some pics of the kiddos for you friends who think I've totally lost my mind (actually, that happened LONG before I was dazzled by a sparkly vampire; you know that! Come on! I'm dazzled by beautiful/poignant/epic/enchanting things all the time, silly friends! *rolls eyes*)and grandparents who might be wondering if your grandchildren accidently got thrown out with the bathwater. heh, heh....no....they're right here.....somewhere.....

Um, kids?

Oh! There you are!

Ari enjoying cupcakes on her 2nd B-day

Kaiya opening presents and having cake on her 9th B-day

I think my dad has pics of Trooper's B-day so I will have to put that slideshow on hold for now. Meanwhile, you can enjoy this one of Trooper and his favorite buddy - Teddy. =)

2nd Twilight Trailer!!

I'm assuming this is the new Twilight Trailer playing before Dark Knight.
Check it out HERE!

TwilightMOMS also mentioned in Entertainment Weekly - you might have missed it. The issue had Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart posed as Edward and Bella on the front - holding an apple even :) but as far as I can tell, all major book stores have sold out of it. I have a subscription so I was lucky. I have pics for you all though!

This is one with better hair someone on Live Journal doctored up - we'll just forget about the one with the bad hair ;).

Here's the link to the article: Twilight: Inside the First Stephenie Meyer Movie

I don't blog about my life or family anymore these days....just Twilight. NO J/K!!

Can I have permission to just make one long post about the fam for the whole year? Sorry! It's the Twilight year!! I promise to catch up sometime....solemly swear...
